Chapter 24: Adhan

Once the masjid was made, muslims wanted a way to call everyone to pray.

Some suggested to use a bell or a horn to call the believers to the masjid - but that did not feel right.

A companion called Abdullah ibn Zaid (RA) saw a dream about the Adhan and  he told the Prophet (SAW).

Also another companion, Omar ibn Khattab (RA) also saw a similar dream and he told the Prophet (SAW).

Mohammed (SAW) said both the dreams were true and asked Bilal (RA) to be the first person to make the call for prayer, the Adhan.

Bilal (RA) was known as the Prophet (SAW)'s Mu'azzin (caller of Adhan).
